Nina and the Neurons: In the Lab

Episode 13: Steamy Mirrors

Duration: 15 minutes

First broadcast: on CBeebiesLatest broadcast: on CBeebies

Nina investigates why the mirror steams up when you have a bath, with the help of Luke, her sight neuron.

Experimenters Anna, Arman and Finn visit Nina in her lab and use their senses to discover that mirrors feel wet when they steam up. Nina makes swirly mist in a beaker using hot water and cold ice proving that water can be a runny liquid, a hard solid or a gas.

Then they all visit a steam yacht and find out that liquid water can turn it into the water gas, steam, when it's heated up.

Finally, back in the lab, they recreate a steamy bathroom using empty fish tanks and prove that it's the hot water from a bath that makes the mirror steam up! Show less
