Commonwealth Games

Delhi 2010

Day 1, Part 2

Duration: 2 hours

First broadcast: on BBC HDLatest broadcast: on BBC One Wales

Live coverage of the first day of action at the SPM Swimming Complex in Delhi, where five gold medals are up for grabs. Scotland's David Carry is the defending champion in the men's 400m freestyle but Welsh star David Davies will fancy his chances of improving on his bronze medal four years ago.

Scotland's Hannah Miley goes in the women's 200m individual medley and her chances are boosted by the absence of Australian Olympic champion Stephanie Rice, who is injured and so unable to defend her Commonwealth title. Australia is traditionally strong in this event - its swimmers swept gold, silver and bronze in Melbourne - and they could have a ready-made replacement in teenage swimming sensation Emily Seebohm.

Swimming finals:

11.30am Women's 200m freestyle
11.59am Men's 400m freestyle
12.06am Women's 200m individual medley
12.12am Men's 200m butterfly
12.40am Men's 4x100m freestyle. Show less
