Alfie confronts Kat about Michael. Explaining that Michael means nothing to her, Kat claims she’s only leaving with him because he truly wants the baby. Alfie tries to impress upon her that he wants to be a father to the baby. Unconvinced, Kat remains adamant that she’s leaving. As Michael and a hesitant Kat prepare to leave, Alfie arrives to ensure Michael looks after them. Moved, Kat heads after Alfie. She finds him in the bedroom of the Vic and is touched to see that he’s begun to prepare it for the baby. Admitting she loves him, Kat decides to stay.

Furious with Billie for upsetting Carol by not returning for his birthday, Bianca drags him back to the Square. In an effort to forget Billie, Whitney sets her sights on Peter. As Billie’s birthday party gets underway, there’s tension when Connor arrives. Connor apologises to Jack for the shooting. With word of the party having spread, more and more people arrive. A boozy Kim makes a play for Ricky and forces a kiss on him, witnessed by Liam. In an effort to liven things up, Lauren presents Billie with bottles of spirits and he’s quickly cajoled into downing them.

Wracked with guilt for punching Jay, Billy tries desperately to make amends, but Jay shuns him. Jay asks Phil for a job at the Arches. When Phil sees his bruised body, Jay covers but Phil is sceptical. Learning that Billy inflicted the punch, Phil launches at him and Jay’s forced to intervene. Billy finally opens up about the abuse at his care home. Jay calls the police, who arrive to talk to Billy. A reluctant Billy is probed about his recollections of the alleged abuser. Billy snaps at the mention of the care worker impregnating one of the girls. Show less
