Ten shy children who love to sing but are terrified of performing in public are put through their paces by choirmaster extraordinaire Gareth Malone. Having already worked his magic on a tone-deaf town, reluctant schoolboys and wayward teenagers, Gareth attempts to build the youngsters' fragile confidence and turn them into singing stars capable of performing in front of a massive crowd - 40,000 people at London's Proms in the Park.
The journey begins when their luxury Big Performance tour bus pulls up at Hookend, a state-of-the-art recording studio in the heart of the Berkshire countryside. Gareth starts by teaching the terrified ten Take That's Rule The World - the very song they will be performing at Proms in the Park. And if that wasn't enough, the group are forced to face their fears as Gareth challenges them to sing in front of their first ever audience... each other.
They are joined by special guest Camilla Dallerup, who works on building their confidence and the pressure is on as Gareth reveals that one member in the group will be singing a solo as part of their Big Performance in eleven weeks' time. Show less
