Schools, colleges and festivals all over Scotland are at the centre of a traditional music revival. Arising out of these institutions are talented singers and musicians who go on to successful careers in the music industry. In this programme we meet a group from The National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music in Plockton, and Skye-based band Ceilear, who are amongst the youngsters now at the forefront of this musical revitalisation. They gather in Ullapool to put on a special showcase for this series reflecting on the rise in interest in traditional Scottish music. Show less
