Patrick takes flowers to the canal. Lucas asks the Beales and Masoods to spread the news of Denise’s death. DI Kelly tells Lucas he’s not convinced Denise killed Owen alone.

Lucas lies, assuring the family the case is about to be closed and Denise’s body will be released for burial. DI Kelly asks Patrick some questions about Lucas.

Patrick confronts Lucas; Lucas claims that Denise killed Owen in self defence, but he helped her cover it up, burying the body whilst she kept watch. Lucas asks Patrick for advice, should he confess or stay silent and look after the children – like Denise wanted him to.

When Patrick sees how good Lucas is with Jordan, he tells him to keep quiet, he will too. Hugely relieved, Lucas hugs Patrick.
