An edition of Talking Books recorded in May 2010, with Razia Iqbal and her guest, crime writer PD James, who died on Thursday 27th November 2014.
PD James published her first book in 1963. Her crime novels featuring Adam Dalgliesh took the conventions of the detective novel as established by Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie but moved the genre towards the literary novel giving each of her characters depth of character and motivation not seen before.
