As Masood’s about to go, Imam Ali arrives. He relays what happened to Syed at Mosque. Masood goes to Syed’s and is horrified to find him unconscious.

At the hospital, Masood is wracked with guilt for turning his back on Syed. A distressed Zainab arrives. The doctors reveal that Syed will be okay.

Masood agrees to come home provided that Syed does too. Zainab nods. Left alone with Syed, Zainab sees Christian calling his phone. Despairing, Zainab tells Syed she thinks it would have been better if he had died. Unbeknownst to her, a horrified Masood and Tamwar have overheard.

Syed visits Mosque where he receives a frosty reception. Nadim advises Syed to find another Mosque.

Feeling cast out by the community and his family, Syed buys vodka. Having been told to leave Walford by Roxy, a despondent Syed hits the vodka and looks at a bottle of pills.

Roxy attempts to bolster a gloomy Christian. He reluctantly agrees to a fun day out, but later seeing Syed, he buckles. Concerned for Christian’s wellbeing, Roxy urges Syed to leave Walford. Christian’s appalled on learning of this and tries to contact Syed.

Jane prepares to leave for Florida. Faced with Masood’s declaration to her, Jane is resolute and tells Masood she won’t run away with him. A guilt-ridden Ian sees Jane off. Peter is disdainful of his father’s deceit. Eager to put things right Ian says that he’s going to give Jane a baby. Show less
