Amira stares confused at the writing on the wall. Syed frantically tries to cover but a determined Christian arrives and confesses to having torn down the wallpaper.
Panicking; Amira looks to Syed for answers. Syed can’t deny it any longer and confesses that he loves Christian. She implores him to give her a chance to prove herself as a wife and try again for a baby.
Syed is resolute: “I’m gay”. Zainab and Masood grow anxious when Syed and Amira take so long at the flat. When a hysterical Amira arrives, their worst fears are confirmed. Desperate not to cause a scene, Zainab quietly implores her not to say anything.
Qadim demands to know why Amira is so upset. Masood and Syed frantically cover that there’s been a burst pipe at the flat. Alone with Amira, the Masoods try to placate her, assuring her that they’ll deal with the problem and that she and Syed will stay married. She agrees to keep up the charade, but buckles when Christian arrives.
Hysterical, Amira reveals that Syed’s gay. Syed is forced to confess. Enraged, Qadim attacks him. Masood and Zainab tell Syed he’s shamed the family. Shunned by his family and having lost everything, Syed turns on Christian, proclaiming that he rejects him.
As Amira packs to leave, Chelsea arrives with news of the tests. Syed seeks out Amira to apologise, but she’s unyielding; Syed has left her a pariah. As Amira leaves the square, she asks Chelsea to keep her secret. Amira puts her hand on her stomach...
Denise confronts Chelsea over her pregnancy. When Lucas learns of it, he decrees that Chelsea can’t have an abortion. Chelsea’s taken aback by his overzealous religious stance. Denise buys Chelsea another pregnancy test. Having taken the test, Chelsea visits Amira. Show less
