Determined to get Syed and Amira’s flat painted with as little input as possible from Christian, Zainab ropes in the Book Club ladies to help.

All goes well until Christian arrives and mentions he’s being paid to decorate the flat. Disgruntled, the women leave. Zainab and Christian argue about Syed, wrestle over a paint roller and Zainab slips in the paint.

Later, Christian sees Syed looking longingly at him out of the flat window. Christian tells Zainab he’s going to get Syed back.

Carol persuades Ricky to give Billie a job. Billie doesn’t want the job and in turn persuades Ricky to tell Carol it’s not working out.

After a visit from the police about his witness statement, Billie admits to Carol that Kylie got the gun from him. Furious, Carol marches Billie back to the Recruitment Office.

Later Max and Carol announce to Whitney. Ricky and Bianca that Billie’s joined the army.

Glenda’s not impressed when Danny tells her he can only transfer £10,000 out of Roxy’s account. Danny discovers that Roxy keeps the code for the safe on her phone. When Roxy catches him writing the code down he pretends the notebook is full of his poetry.

Roxy’s touched when Danny ‘reads’ her a poem and gives him Archie’s fountain pen. Danny doesn’t take the money from the safe.

Glenda’s annoyed, until Danny shows her the pen, Roxy trusts him and so he can scam her better – they’re not walking away with less than a million.

Pat’s annoyed by the state of the square. She helps Peggy out with a council drinks do in the Vic. Pat and Peggy decide to confront Councillor Singh Walia, but just as they launch into their diatribe, he has a heart attack. Show less
