Welsh Tenors

Episode 1

Duration: 30 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC Two WalesLatest broadcast: on BBC Two Wales

It's been said that Wales has produced more world class tenors per head of population than any other country on earth. But Wales is changing and the singing traditions are dying out.

Only Men Aloud's Tim Rhys-Evans is a life-long fan of the tenor voice and searches out two young potential talents of the future - a rugby-playing 22-year-old from Clunderwyn, West Wales and a former head chorister of Llandaff Cathedral choir. Along the way he finds out about Welsh legends like David Lloyd and Stuart Burrows, and meets Dennis O'Neill, Ryland Davies and Wynne Evans. Show less
