A happy Ruth and Jay are slowly taking things further but Ruth is unwilling to publicly acknowledge their union. Jay is upset and gives her an ultimatum. Ruth busies herself with surgical training but accidentally scares her patient, Amir, with her diagnosis and bears Sarah Evan's wrath.

Knowing she must resolve things with Amir, Ruth and Amir strike a deal to make her look good if she lets him go home if he doesn't want surgery. But, when it comes to the crunch, Amir falters and questions Ruth about surgery in front of Sarah. Thrown, but pleased Amir is considering options, Ruth explains and impresses Sarah. Happy, Ruth kisses Jay in public. But when the pair head home for the night, Ruth realises she's missed some pills and wonders: could she be pregnant?

Meanwhile, Zoe faces up to the consequences of her actions and the wrath of Jordan, and the F2s are disillusioned with Adam's management but when they struggle and call on his help, he impresses them in resus. Together they agree to give Adam another chance. Show less
