Tchaikovsky's expansive Piano Trio in A minor, Op 50, written in memory of the pianist and composer Nikolay Rubinstein, is widely considered to be his finest chamber work. This performance, recorded in the church of St Anne and St Agnes as part of the 2009 City of London Festival, was given by three musicians who were then members of the Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme - British violinist Jennifer Pike, Danish cellist Andreas Brantelid (cello) and Israeli pianist Shai Wosner (piano)
