Syed and Zainab catch up. He was in Leeds for 3 years and had his own property company but lost everything as the market collapsed. He came to London to work and is now freelance. They talk about why he left and Syed asks after Masood. He admits it was hard not seeing his family. Zainab offers him some money but he refuses. When he takes Zainab to see the penthouse flat where he lives she says she is proud of him and his success. Syed tells her he really wants to pay them back. He has seen some properties he wants to buy which he would sell on for a good profit, only he has no money for a deposit and couldn’t get a mortgage. Zainab takes the brochure and says she will persuade Masood to invest.
Jack tells Roxy they could be a family and Roxy is torn between what she wants and what she knows she must do. She confides in Christian about how she feels about Jack. Ronnie is going ahead with arrangements for the Christening and surprises Roxy when she puts Jack on the list. Ronnie tries to talk about the christening to Jack but can’t. Roxy realises there is no way she can be with Jack while Ronnie feels this way.
Patrick can’t find it in himself to forgive Tommy as it would feel like he was letting Ruth down again. Denise reminds him that Tommy may not make it through the night. Patrick forgives Tommy and sits with him until he dies.
Heather is very happy that Shirley has found true love with Phil but she is not happy when she finds the bin full of empty booze bottles. Show less
