Danielle is unsure of whether she’s making the right decision. Stacey finds the clinic address and goes after Danielle. At the clinic Danielle becomes emotional and tries to reach out to Ronnie about her own baby. Ronnie talks of having the baby being a mistake. Danielle is stung by her seeming lack of sentiment. Danielle is about to take the first pill when Stacey bursts in to try and stop her. Danielle takes the pill. At home she tries to justify her actions to an angry Stacey who can’t understand why she would have gone to Ronnie for help. As Stacey vents her contempt for Ronnie and asks why she chose her, Danielle cracks: “Because she’s my mum.”
Ricky encourages Bianca to let Tiffany have a party, but she thinks it will upset Whitney. Ricky and Bianca share an awkward close moment. They find out that Tony is pleading not guilty: Whitney will have to give evidence. Ricky comforts Whitney and she tells him to go ahead with a party for Tiffany.
Christian’s furious that Roger has turned up and that Linda seems to be taken in by his attempts to win her back. Roger claims he’s left his mistress and wants Linda back. Christian tells her it will only happen again. He doesn’t want to see his mother hurt. Linda tells Christian she’s considering going back to Roger as she fears growing old alone.
Janine again offers Darren a job with her, but he remains resolute. He worries about needing money to take out Libby. Running the business in Pat’s front room doesn’t get off to a good start and Ricky tells Darren they should wait for Pat to return. Faced with being broke and letting Libby down, Darren has second thoughts about Janine’s job offer.
