Sean visits Jack and asks him to be a good father to Amy, then sneaks into the Vic finding Roxy and Amy in the sitting room. Sean tells Roxy he knew Stacey would give Amy back. Roxy, Sean and Amy leave together, meeting Ronnie on their way. Sean drives Roxy to a crossroads and asks her to choose left or right. Ronnie tells Jack that Roxy has left; Jack thinks she and Amy are in danger. Roxy, Sean and Amy arrive at a frozen lake and Roxy realises Sean plans to kill them all by driving into the lake. She surreptitiously phones Ronnie, and keeps Sean talking. Roxy asks Sean to kiss her, pushes him and jumps out of the car. She tries to get Amy out but can’t, so lures Sean away from the car and onto the ice, as Jack and Ronnie arrive. The ice cracks and Roxy and Sean plunge into the icy lake. Roxy’s foot is trapped, but Sean frees her. Ronnie dives into the lake and pulls her sister to safety. Unseen by Ronnie and Jack, Sean crawls out of the lake. Roxy tells him to go. She clings to Amy, it’s just the two of them now.

Patrick talks to Whitney in the square. Later Whitney, Bianca, Ricky and the kids go to the Vic. Peggy makes a fuss of them, but Whitney still thinks everyone’s looking at her, so goes home early. Janine and Whitney talk and Whitney says Janine makes her feel safe – Janine’s surprised.

Shirley tries to find Heather a man, and is thrilled when Peggy suggests a firework display. It looks like Heather’s found someone to kiss, but he passes out.
