Ian discovers Jane’s Christmas decorations and insists she returns them. Later Jane visits Tanya in prison. Tanya is angry with Jane for letting Lauren go back to Max. Jane is shocked when her card is swallowed up by an ATM machine. Jane discovers Ian has invested £2k in Masala Masood and angrily confronts Ian at the Council’s Christmas party. Zainab is as shocked as Jane. At the Beales’ Ian tries to explain his reasons for investing but Jane fed up, throws Ian out.

Shirley questions why Phil hasn’t talked to Suzy yet but he wants evidence. Later Phil grows suspicious of Suzy and asks Shirley to tell him exactly what she saw on the CCTV. Phil confronts Suzy. Phil then visits Shirley and tells her Suzy had a miscarriage. As Phil lambasts Shirley we see Suzy happily eating at home. Phil tells Shirley he wouldn’t be with her even if she was the last woman on earth.

Ronnie receives a Christmas card from an unknown sender and is disappointed when she discovers it’s not from Jack. Danielle is distraught when she sees Ronnie rip up her card. Later Danielle gets drunk whilst waitressing at the Council Christmas party and ends up going home with a waiter, Paul. Ronnie invites Jack to the Mitchells’ Christmas lunch and is delighted when he accepts.

Janine finds it impossible to get a job in the square as everyone seems to know her history. She eventually agrees to accept Ricky’s offer to speak to Pat for a job at Pat Cars.

Sean presents Roxy with a set of keys and reveals he’s used Jean’s engagement ring to put a deposit down on a flat in Dagenham. Roxy reveals to Ronnie she is leaving with Sean and begs her to come to the family Christmas lunch. Show less
