Eight British teenagers tackle sun, sea and survival in the real-life OC. Every summer, the sun-soaked Pacific Beach in San Diego hosts one of the best Junior Lifeguard programmes in the world. This year the lifeguards open up a space for eight UK teenagers who are given an incredible opportunity. Coming from a range of different backgrounds, the teens live together in a beach apartment having fun whilst working hard to achieve their goals, and learning new skills. This is the ultimate 'work hard, play hard' environment, where the dream of a Californian lifestyle meets the discipline of a tough Lifeguard Summer School.
Four weeks of constant training come to an end. Although Jack, Georgie, Joe, Aine, Emma, Tommy, Sean and Yasmine have each experienced an amazing summer, how much will everyone miss living on Mission Beach?
There are a few final tests from the San Diego lifeguards before graduation, and it is an emotional time as they say goodbye to the American friends they made over the last month, but have any of the Brits done enough to pick up one of the awards for their groups? Show less
