Tara the Tiger is two-and-a-half years old and almost full-grown. She lives in Ranthambhore National Park in a territory that she shares with her mother, Sita, and her father, Rama - the King of the Lakes. It has everything a tiger could need: lakes filled with fresh water and meadows and forests filled with great herds of deer, like Chital and Sambar.
But Tara's world is about to change: Tara will be left alone in the territory when her father dies and she and her mother fall out. Tiger's don't have many enemies - they are the biggest of all the "Big Cats". The greatest danger to young Tara is a marauding male tiger looking to claim her father's former kingdom as his own. Tara will soon find out that there's a new Tiger around: Shiva, seven years old and in his prime. He wants the territory for himself... but does he want Tara hanging around? And will she ever become The Queen of the Lakes like her mother? Show less
