Live coverage of the Olympics, with John Inverdale and Sir Steve Redgrave at Shunyi for the rowing finals, featuring the men's lightweight fours, with Britain a strong medal chance.

With action from the velodrome, including the men's and women's sprint final, the first round of the men's team pursuit, and the women's individual pursuit final. Wendy Houvenaghel and Rebecca Romero are medal hopes for Great Britain in the latter.

Also in action are British world sprint champions Victoria Pendleton and Chris Hoy and the world champion British team pursuit squad led by Bradley Wiggins.

It is also round one of the women's 100 and 400 hurdles, and the finals of the men's 10,000, men's hammer, women's triple jump and women's 100.

Including the first day of boxing quarter finals, with today's winners guaranteed at least a bronze medal.
