England v USA

Duration: 2 hours, 30 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC One ScotlandLatest broadcast: on BBC One Northern Ireland

Gary Lineker and guests present coverage of England v USA at Wembley. Fabio Capello will be hoping his side fare better than in their last match, which they lost 1-0 to France. While the rest of Europe's major footballing nations prepare for this summer's European Championships, England must instead turn their focus to the 2010 World Cup qualifiers, which begin in the autumn - and this friendly will give Capello another chance to work out his best XI.

This is only the second time England have hosted the USA, the first coming in 1994 when Alan Shearer scored twice to help England to a 2-0 win. The teams last met in 2005 when Kieran Richardson scored twice on his England debut as the Three Lions won 2-1. The USA have triumphed in just two of the eight meetings between the sides but they did win the only competitive fixture, a 1-0 win in the 1950 World Cup, a result which shocked the footballing world.
