Pat is teaching Bill how to ride a bike. He tells him that the important thing is to never give up. Pat is called to the station where he, Ted, Ajay and PC Selby struggle to load an enormous crate onto the van. The crate contains a special delivery for Amy.

Bill and Julian continue practising but Bill gets discouraged, especially when he falls into a muddy puddle and is teased by Sarah Gilbertson, and goes home to practise in private.

Pat has an idea and fixes small wheels onto the crate and trails it behind the van. The van skids on a greasy patch of road and ends up careering down a hill into a deep valley. Lucy, who is also out riding her bike, rushes off to Thompson Ground for help. Alf is out and Lucy's bike has a wobbly wheel. Bill, who is still unsteady on a bike, bravely offers to cycle into town for help. Show less
