Series that works closely with the Metropolitan police and the National Missing Persons Helpline. Families of people who’ve disappeared movingly describe what happened and the pain of what it’s like not knowing if they will ever be reunited.
No matter how long a person has been missing it doesn’t get any easier for the family left behind. Heather and Sharee are sisters who have not seen their mum Dilys for twenty years. She would now be eighty and her daughters have decided to make one last attempt to find her. They’ve contacted Hackney Missing persons unit and the investigation into the disappearance of Dilys Donnelly has been reopened. How do police start the search for a woman who has not been seen for two decades?
Also, Marcus Rigby had a happy childhood in the Lake District but as a teenager he got involved with drugs and he started to lose control, falling into depression and needing medication. In his early 20s he became a Christian and seemed to be getting his life back on track. His mother, Mary, has never lost hope that she will see him again. He has been missing since 1995 and every Birthday and Christmas she stills wraps a present for her son believing he will return one day. Show less
