Drama following two couples, linked by attending the same antenatal clinic, who become caught in the complex world of fertility in the 21st century.
Having babies has always been as easy for Theresa. Now 50, she's happy to have put her child rearing behind her, until she receives a desperate plea from her youngest daughter Eve, who with her husband Jed, have tried everything to fill the baby shaped hole in their lives.
But Theresa hasn't taken into account how much physically harder this will be now she's older. And as the pregnancy progresses, the generous act of a mother wanting to help her daughter threatens to tear the whole family apart.
Then there's Ben and Tara, who are money rich, time poor somethings-in-the-city. They were seen as the perfect couple who had it all, until Ben hit 40, and realised that their gadget filled lives are missing the one thing that money can't buy - a child. Tara doesn't have a maternal bone in her body, and faces a stark choice; risk losing the only man she's ever loved, or sacrifice her career to have his baby.
Tara decides to have a glue baby. A child whose whole purpose is to hold their marriage together. But Tara soon realises that bringing another life into the world can't be entered into as if it were just another corporate strategy. Show less
