Documentary series which follows sixteen strangers as they embark on a unique and touching journey to find love.

Eight single men from the rolling hills of Devon travel to a remote coastal town in The Highlands of Scotland. Here they meet eight single women who, just like the men, have experienced the same frustrations and disappointments when trying to find love locally.

Two "matchmakers" - one from each community - will be joining the group on their journey - helping these romantically rusty men and women aged between 30 and 60 years, find what they are looking for. But will they suceed?

It's the women's turn to make the 700 mile journey south, to spend a week with the men on their home turf in the heart of rural Devon. Matchmakers Heather and Frances together with the men have planned a two day romantic road trip - including a night under the stars - which it's hoped will bring out the best in everyone.

One man who is particularly nervous about the women's arrival is 31 year old local garage owner Mike. He hit it off with school teacher Rachel during his visit to Scotland last week and hopes to continue where they left off.

As the oldest group get to know each other better over a relaxing cream tea, ten miles down the road things are getting heated between Adrian and Ailidh, whose early attraction in Scotland is fast becoming a distant memory. Show less
