Romantic drama. Virgil Adamson is a successful masseur working in a retreat outside New York; he is also blind. He leads a small and simple life until he meets high flying architect Amy Benic and the pair embark on a relationship.

Amy is excited to learn of a pioneering medical procedure which may be able to restore sight to Virgil. Reluctant at first, he agrees to the surgery.
