The Wreck of the Royal Charter

In October 1859 the Royal Charter was nearing the end of a two-month voyage from Australia carrying 500 passengers and a fortune in gold when she was hit by a hurricane and wrecked on the coast of Anglesey. There were 34 survivors.
Nick Hughes has visited Moelfre to piece together the story of the disaster and to discover how it affects the life of the village to this day. Producer BRIAN COOK I Revised repeat)
