Football: European Nations Football Championship: Semi-Final: England v. Yugoslavia

on BBC One London

See panel above

Direct from Italy
Live coverage of tonight's match in Florence, where England, the World Champions, must beat Yugoslavia to win a place in the final of the European Nations Championship.

Presented by the Italian Television Service

The winners of this match go on to the final in Rome on Saturday. Their opponents will be the victors of the other semi-final, Italy v. Russia, which is being played in Naples today. England put out Spain in the previous round while Yugoslavia had a convincing win over France. How strong are Yugoslavia? They failed to reach the finals of the World Cup - won by England two years ago - but their recent form has been more impressive. They have a solid defence and their forwards proved against France that they can score goals. Sir Alf Ramsey's men will not take them lightly.
