Lumsdaine Hagoromo (BBC commission: world premiere)
Hagoromo was commissioned for last year's Promenade Concerts but was not completed in time. It is the last of five works, the first four being Salvation Creek with eagle; Ruhe sanfte , sanfte ruh '; Sunflower; and Evensong, which are different reflections on the idea of grace as it emerges in the 15th-century Noh play Hagoromo.
