8.00 Athletics
The women's pole vault final and the second round of the women's 100m hurdles. At 8.40 the men's 100m hurdles semi-finals take place, followed at 9.15 by the women's 400m hurdles semi-finals. At 9.20 the men's discus final, followed at 9.45 by the semi-finals of the men's 400m hurdles.

10.00 News (S) and Weather

10.05 Athletics
Featuring the men's triple jump final, in which Britain's Jonathan Edwards has high hopes. At 10.10 the women's 400m final, where Britain's Katharine Merry could confront Australia's Cathy Freeman.
Followed at 10.25 by the men's 400m final, with America's Michael Johnson expected to leave the rest of the field in his wake. 10.40 sees the men's 110m hurdles final, possibly one last chance for Britain's Colin Jackson to claim Olympic gold. Then at 10.55 the women's 5,000m final, followed at 11.35 by the men's 800m semi-finals.
