Signs of the Times
' You know how to read the face of the sky but you cannot read the signs of the times.' Jesus's rebuke to the Pharisees is the theme for this Advent exploration of the city of Leeds. What are the signs of the times? Are they signs of hope? In the first of two Advent programmes DR PATRICK NUTTGENS , director of Leeds Polytechnic, is joined by THE REV GRAHAM COOK , a minister working in south Leeds; MARJORIE AYTON , a schoolteacher; KEN GLENDENNING , community relations officer; THE REV ALAN GRIGGS , an Anglican industrial chaplain; with the steel band, PARADISE.
