Negus enjoys the company of Michael Smith , the television cook. They discuss 'tea,' from its introduction to England in the 17th century, through to the Victorian high tea.
As tea became fashionable, so English craftsmen turned to making more tea ware, at first copying Chinese styles, but going on to develop their own strong tradition. (R)
