Wildlife on One

on BBC One London

The worldwide wildlife documentary series.
When the Fish Come In. The spectacular coastal waters of Alaska are the home of the little known eulachon fish. Each year, in vast numbers, they swim up the rivers to spawn, and in doing so run the gauntlet of America's greatest predators. Humpback whales, bald eagles, seals and sea lions are just some of the animals that feast on the fish. It'sa fierce battle between the fishes' urge to spawn and the predators' need to feed.
Vicky Stone and Mark Deeble travelled into the wilderness to film this life-or-death contest. Narrated by David Attenborough. Producer Paul Reddish
