Ramblings

on BBC Radio 4 FM

Cannock Chase in Staffordshire was once the hunting ground of royalty. it is now an area of outstanding natural beauty but more importantly is accessible to disabled ramblers. For many years Elizabeth Dixon worked in the West Midlands police force in Birmingham but following an accident she was left reliant on a wheelchair. She has never been beyond pavements in her chair, but with the help of the Cannock Chase Rangers, the local and the disabled ramblers, she is able to explore this ancient woodland with its view over Staffordshire.
