Mrs. Dale writes:
I'm finding dear Mrs. Maggs a bit of a trial I'm afraid-she and Mr. Maggs are staying in Virginia Lodge till, the builders have finished with their house, and she's following me around, so anxious to do everything for me that it's getting on my nerves. Jenny has had an offer to film in Rome. She asked me if I could look after the twins while she was away, and I'm afraid I had to refuse- shall have my hands so full with Mother when she comes out of hospital. I feel guilty about Jenny though. Mother is very delighted because Vicky has sold a little china figure for £25 — she really seems much better now, but I hope she won't mind too much when Sally finally goes to the States in a week or two.
