with Mr. Flotsam and Mr. Jetsam the BBC Theatre Chorus and the BBC Theatre Orchestra (leader,
Tate Gilder ), conducted by Mark H. Lubbock
Mr. Flotsam and Mr. Jetsam have been among the most successful of partnerships on the halls or on the air. Within/a year of starting the act they had given their first broadcast and had appeared at a Royal Command Performance (at Victoria Palace in 1927). It has been said of their act that the nimbleness of the wit of it is equalled by the nimbleness of Mr. Flotsam's fingers as he makes the piano talk while Mr. Jetsam's basso supplies the booming asides.
