The Saturday Western: Unconquered

on BBC One London

Starring Gary Cooper, Paulette Goddard
with Howard Da Silva, Boris Karloff, Cecil Kellaway, Ward Bond

For the story of this spectacular adventure, Cecil B. DeMille went right back to the pre-Revolutionary era and the early pioneers, and as in The Plainsman and North West Mounted Police, seen recently in the Gary Cooper Season, he again chose 'Coop' for the leading role.

It's the story of an unscrupulous trader in league with the Indians who plots a rebellion against the Colonists of Fort Pitt - one day to be called Pittsburgh - and wages a bitter feud with a militiaman over a white slave girl.
