When Special F.B.I. Agent Zack Stewart is killed during the course of duty, a team-mate, John Ripley, takes over the three cases on which he was working. The first case concerns a search for a gangster-killer; the next involves a car-theft ring; the third concerns a young woman who is being threatened by a kidnapper.
