Look: Year of the Reindeer

on BBC One London

with Peter Scott.

The reindeer is one of the magical symbols of Christmas - hitched nowadays to the legends of Santa Claus. But for more than 10,000 years, wild and domesticated reindeer have fascinated Northern Man.
"Year of the Reindeer" shows the wide range of man's long association with these remarkable animals - from cave-drawings at Lascaux to the recent resettlement of reindeer in Scotland.
