Boys in a County Secondary Modern School have been taking part in experimental discussion groups. They were encouraged to talk freely about any problems, including personal ones.
D. L. Howard, sociologist and head of the English department of the school concerned, explains his purpose in arranging these discussions and introduces recordings made with some of his pupils.
