1973
A tough year for Britain, with violence and hardship for many finally killing off the 60s dream.
The news: the Vietnam War ends, but there's no let-up from the IRA who launch three bombing campaigns in England. Watergate begins and the Cod War ends. Lord Lambton resigns after a scandal. The Arab/Israeli war results in oil shortages and huge price increases in the West. This, combined with a work to rule by miners and power workers, results in 'The Three-Day Week'.
