From St John's, Smith Square, London.
From the BBC Singers' Choral Masterworks series, a programme which includes Ligeti's atmospheric setting of words from the Latin requiem, together with a new piece by Tristan Murall which adds two synthesizers to the choral forces to conjure up a picture of medieval pilgrims on the road to Compostela. Part two of the concert includes some of the most original and imaginative choral works written by British composers this century. Presented by Sandy Burnett.
BBC Singers, John Alley and Catherine Edwards (keyboards), conductor Simon Joly
