Drama on 3: The Home Field

on BBC Radio 3

By Nell Leyshon. A drama documentary using poetry and prose to examine the current state of farming in Somerset.
Compton Dundon, a village on the edge of the Somerset Levels, was steeped in dairy farming until recently. With few working farms left, the Wrights, the Edwards and the Greens tell their own stories. And a fictional farming family - Lin, Derek, their teenage son Chris and new baby- are packing up to leave the farm that has been in their family for generations.
