Ivan Illich talks about his new book to A. H. HALSEY ivan illich, born in Vienna and educated in Rome, was Vice-Chancellor of the Catholic University of Puerto Rico until 1960. when he became involved in the island's birth control controversy. Since then he has lived in Cuernavaca. Mexico, where he was co-founder of the controversial Centre for Intercultural Documentation.
