AMERICAN COMMENTARY

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

A weekly commentary on American affairs
Raymond Gram Swing
(From America)
Raymond Swing has become known to listeners in this country as an ideal commentator on American affairs. An outstanding American journalist whose views on political developments carry weight with his own countrymen, he has also a thorough knowledge of the British viewpoint.
Although great improvements have since been made in the conditions of transatlantic reception, the quality of a broadcast that has come across the Atlantic and been picked up for re-transmission here cannot be expected always to equal that of a studio show.
