J. A. Scott WATSON (Professor of Rural Economy, University of Oxford)
One of the coming developments likely to be of great value to the British farmer is the introduction of improved processes for the preservation of grass and other forage crops. One possibility is to provide the farmer with a small-scale plant for the artificial drying of young grass. New and improved methods for the making of silage are now also available. This evening Professor Scott Watson will discuss these various developments with Dr. S. J. Watson of the Jealotts Hill Research Station, who has been actively engaged in fodder preservation research for a number of years, and who is regarded as the leading expert on the subject.
