Countdown to the Festival

on BBC One London

Introduced by Tristan Fry
There are several hundred musical festivals annually in Great Britain. For the people who take part in them (and for many of their families) it is the highlight of the year. This series examines the hopes, the fears, the enthusiasms and the grinding hard work of five groups of children throughout Britain as they start the 'countdown to their festival'.
1: The 'Fleadh' with COLETTE AND BRIAN MCGRATH from Brookeborough, in Co Fermanagh
It's pronounced 'Flah' - and is a great Irish event which features the Irish talent for traditional music, and in particular, the playing of the tin whistle.
