Royal Heritage

on BBC One London

The story of Britain's royal builders and collectors
Told by Huw Wheldon in a series of nine programmes. 1:The Medieval Kings
In this first programme SIR HUW WHELDON looks at the heritage of the greatest of the medieval kings. Warriors, lawgivers and defenders of the Church, they left their mark in great castles and splendid abbeys; in glowing manuscripts; in bronze, gold and precious stones.
It is the most glamorous and engrossing series and I commend it to everybody.
