Brian Rix presents: Reluctant Heroes

on BBC One London

by Colin Morris
The 21st anniversary production
Recorded before an Army audience at Aldershot
Starring Brian Rix as Horace Gregory

Brian Rix originally presented this funniest of all theatre farces in 1950, and the then unknown actor-manager became an overnight star. The play also provided television's first West End theatre excerpt, beginning an association between Brian Rix and the BBC which has continued to this day.
