' 'Personally Speaking' G. A. STREET

on Regional Programme Western

View in Radio Times

G. A. Street has had a particularly adventurous career, his experiences having included service during the Cuban Rebellion, with the United States Army during the war against the Spaniards, with the Canadian Forces in Strathcona's Horse in the South African War and with the North-West Mounted Police, as well as an eleven months' association with Villa in Mexico. He has been, among other things, an actor, author, cowboy, intelligence officer, and free-lance soldier, and his wanderings have enabled him to speak six languages fluently. Perhaps his greatest experience was during the Klondike gold rush of 1897, of which listeners will hear his account tonight.
